Angela Brower

Rising American mezzo-soprano, Angela Brower, was raised in Arizona and studied at Arizona State University and Indiana University. Her career started as a young artist singing at the Glimmerglass Opera Young American Artists Program in 2008. She was then invited to join the Opera Studio at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich where she later became a member of the Ensemble from 2010-2016. Her portrayal of Dorabella in Così fan tutte, earned her particular attention on the main stage of the Nationaltheater which led to her receiving the prestigious Munich Festival Prize in 2009.

  • 09.07.2017 - Angela Brower sings Nicklausse/Muse in ‘Les Contes d’Hoffmann’

  • Returning to the Bayerische Staatsoper this season, Ms. Brower will portray Niklausse/Muse in Offenbach’s Les Contes d’Hoffmann. She’ll be seen alongside Aleksandra Kurzak as the Four Heroines and Ildar Abdrazakov as the Four Villains in a production by Richard Jones. The performances, with Maestro Constantin Trinks on the podium, will take place on July 27 & 30.
