French bass-baritone Nicolas Testé first studied piano, bassoon and music history in his home town Paris before embarking on a career as a singer. He studied in the educational programme of the Opéra National de Paris and Centre de Formation Lyrique, where he acquired a wide repertoire ranging from Sarastro in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte to Alban Berg’s Lulu.
