Soprano Sondra Radvanovsky is a globally celebrated artist. Her signature role is Leonora in Il Trovatore, and she is widely regarded as one of the premiere Verdi sopranos alive today. She has portrayed the title roles in Aïda and Luisa Miller, Elvira in Ernani, Elena in I Vespri Siciliani, Elisabeth de Valois in Don Carlo, and Lina in Stiffelio, among others.

Ms. Radvanovsky sings the role at Lyric Opera of Chicago from January 28 - February 24, with Elizabeth DeShong as Adalgisa, Russell Thomas as Pollione, and Andrea Silvestrelli as Oroveso. Riccardo Frizza conducts, for this Kevin Newbury-directed production, which has already been seen on the stages of San Francisco Opera, Canadian Opera Company, and the Gran Teatre del Liceu, starring Ms. Radvanovsky.
