Yusif Eyvazov

Yusif Eyvazov was born in Algiers and studied at the Tchaikovsky Music College in Moscow. He moved to Italy where he completed his advanced studies with renowned tenor Franco Corelli and soprano Ghena Dimitrova. Yusif Eyvazov kicks off his season 16/17 with a series of concerts in Hamburg, Cologne, Sochi, Budapest and Moscow, joining stage with Anna Netrebko. He then returns to the Bolshoi Theatre in October as Des Grieux (Manon Lescaut). The season will then be shaped by several house- and role debuts including Macduff (Macbeth) at Bayerische Staatsoper, the title role of Andrea Chenier at the Prague Opera and Maurizio (Adriana Lecouvreur) at the Mariinsky Theatre. Further concerts will lead him to Paris, Muscat, Calgary and Toronto. He is appearing on Anna Netrebko’s new recording “Verismo”, released by Deutsche Grammophon.

  • Mr. Eyvazov will star in Verdi’s "Aida" as Radamès alongside Vittoria Yeo in the title role. Maestro Riccardo Muti will conduct the performances on August 22 and 25.
