  • Joseph Calleja continues his acclaimed interpretations of Verdi’s repertoire with two performances of the composer’s Requiem with the Santa Cecilia Orchestra. The tenor joins Sir Antonio Pappano at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall on May 16 and London’s Royal Festival Hall on May 18.

  • On May 10 Mojca Erdmann sings Aribert Reimann's Ollea as well as two lieder (op. 12 and 14) by Webern at the Jüdisches Museum Berlin. Mojca is joined by pianist Iddo Bar-Shai, violinist Zohar Lerner, cellist Ludwig Quandt, and bass clarinetist Joachim Welz. The next day, Mojca joins pianist Elena Bashkirova for Schumann's Sechs Gedichte und Requiem, op. 90.

  • Sondra Radvanovsky will join the Canadian Opera Company for her role debut as Elisabetta (Queen Elizabeth) in Roberto Devereux, directed by Corrado Rovaris. Performing Queen Elizabeth will complete Radvanovsky's mastery of what have come to be known as Donizetti's "three queens": Anna Bolena, Maria Stuarda and Roberto Devereux.  Radvanovsky will eventually sing all three queens at the Metropolitan Opera.
