  • Javier Camarena travels to Spain to make his role debut as Fernand in Donizetti's La Favorite. He'll sing two performances on November 2 and 6 at Teatro Real de Madrid. Then, he'll give recitals in Oviedo (Nov. 10) and Seville (Nov. 13), sing a Zarzuela Gala in Madrid (Nov. 19) and a concert honoring Alfredo Kraus in Las Palmas (Nov. 24).

  • Netrebko was a class above, rich and full in her low notes, floating beautiful pianissimos, charismatic and commanding the stage she energetically bestrode. Her big aria in Catalani's La Wally was simply gorgeous.
