In 2017 he was named Chief Guest conductor of the The State Academic Novosibirsk Theatre of Russia.

  • 04.07.2017 - Dmitry Korchak returns to Pesaro's Rossini Opera Festival

  • Dmitry Korchak will star in Torvaldo e Dorliska this summer at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, Italy.  This rarely-performed opera opens on August 2, with additional performances on the 15, 18 & 21. The work was last performed at the Festival in 2006, and tells the dramatic love story of the Knight Torvaldo and his wife Dorliska. Mr. Korchak sings alongside Salome Jicia as Dorliska, Nicola Alaimo as Duca d'Ordow, Carlo Lepore as Giorgio, Raffaella Lupinacci as Carlotta, and Filippo Fontana as Ormondo. Francesco Lanzillotta leads the Orchestra Sinfonica G. Rossini from the pit. Mr. Korchak also performs Rossini's Stabat Mater, as a part of the festival, on August 22. Known for his resplendent interpretations of signature Rossini roles, Mr. Korchak previously performed in the composer's Il Barbiere di SivigliaErmione and Othello during the 2016/2017 season.
