  • On September 23 Dmitry Korchak makes his house debut as Orphée in Gluck’s ‘Orphée et Eurydice’ to open Lyric Opera of Chicago’s 2017-2018 season. This will be Lyric Opera’s inaugural production of this exquisite work and is marked by a new production featuring the Joffrey Ballet. Harry Bicket will conduct and John Neumeier, director of the Hamburg Opera, will be the choreographer, director, and stage designer. Mr. Korchak will be joined by a superb cast including Ryan Opera Center alumna Andriana Churchman as Eurydice and Lauren Snouffer as Amour. Performances will run from September 23 through October 15.
